Mimicry

‘we are still with you…’

It was early dusk; and, I was heading homeward... deeply pondering the large orb beneath the right wing of a fighter jet, I'd recently viewed at extremely close range.

Reflective, I began to recall a few of the previous encounters I'd had with UAP.

Curious. It was curious... the continuity of engagement. And I wondered what purpose it had all been toward.

Like the beautiful, silvery diffuse orb, all previous encounters had been unexpected. Close in proximity. And profound. As I am both appreciative and insatiably inquisitive of the whole of science, I found each event greatly intriguing – though, none were what I would have considered abnormal... just something I didn't yet understand, but nonetheless regarded as a part of our greater reality.

I am actually quite familiar with phenomena which many may commonly relegate to the category of ‘para-normal’.

It then suddenly struck me that such encounters may be rather uncommon among many of us.

And further… perhaps all of my experiences had been mere coincidences... some sort of cosmic fluke.

Appreciative of each and every one, and a bit wistful... I asked silently, hopeful, as if speaking to a long-lost friend, "...are you still with me?"

I wasn't expecting any sort of an answer; yet, I immediately received a ‘mind-speak’ reply of “we are still with you”.

Within minutes, a ‘physical’ confirmation would be demurely offered.

Concluding the brief remainder of the drive home, I paused to study the sky. The looming night was growing darker, clearer, colder. The heavens memorably beautiful. Infinite. Full of twinkling stars... yet, hauntingly empty of signs of air travel - as it had become since 2000 when it had irrecoverably diminished from its previously inflated volume.

I scanned the expansive sky in all directions, horizon to horizon – I and our cosmos hemmed around the flanks by vast mountain ranges increasingly silhouetted against a steadily encroaching twilight.

Then... a small plane arriving from the South, along an unusual flight path, flying much lower than normal, and slower. Its flashing lights irregular in timing and distribution. And though engine noise was expected on such a crisp, silent and still mountain evening, the craft made no sound. Even as it approached perpendicular to, nearly in front of, and flying within perhaps a mile and a half of the vehicle while closely flanking just below the ridge of an Eastern range… no sound. I glanced back across the sky for perhaps a second and a half, curious as to any other visible air traffic. Affirming clear skies, I looked back to the small presumably fixed-wing, but the ‘plane’ had vanished.

Though an airport was located within ten to fifteen miles to the NW, the aircraft would have had to advance in front of me to begin such a heading. It could not have banked and ascended in altitude in time to clear the ridgeline - had it headed to a different airport around forty miles SE.

It was still light enough to see physical definition and faint color distinctions; but, the environment was darkening quickly. Still no sound.. and, now, no lights flanking the ridge along the aircraft’s former flight path. No silhouetted plane above the ridge, heading SE. No visible or audible trace it had ever existed.

It wasn’t until a few weeks later that I came upon research which confirmed, among a number of witnesses who had experienced something quite similar, that indeed - and like many other lifeforms within nature – exotic NHI are also capable of mimicry.

So, I concluded this ‘object’ - or suggestion of one - was a conscientious reply to my heartfelt query. A subtle display of empathetic reciprocity, intention and vast capability perhaps intending to pique curiosity and further inquiry. It certainly garnered that, together with deep appreciation.

And lest I question (which I strongly did) too-long its authenticity, by February, I would be met with a rather startling, unquestionable display of exotic NHI which would reveal even greater capabilities - those I would never have imagined.

Though my first sighting occurred over forty-five years ago and maintained across the following decades revealing different craft - such is my stalwart skepticism and extraordinarily objective discernment - that it was only in the summer of 2024 that I finally concluded exotic NHI is among us and likely has been, far longer than any human.

They are teaching me. They are teaching us. Just like any other lifeform interwoven within nature’s diverse spectrum – from lion to octopi to trees, beetles and fungi… if we attempt to regard beyond our familiar perceptual range of reckoning… if we respect their autonomy, their purpose in the cosmos alongside our own… if we listen to the lesson with appreciation, humility and empathy foremost, we can learn a bit more about what the sacred gift of life and living can truly, more deeply and roundly mean for us all.
